Pakistan's textile & apparel exports up 3.68% in July-September 2022

In the first three months of fiscal year 2022-23 (July-June). the value of Pakistan's textile and apparel exports increased by 3.68% in jJulySeptember 2022. According to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan's textile and apparel export revenue during theperiod was $4.583 billion, compared to $4.420 billion in July-September 2021.
Durno the perod under review.knitwear exports including sootswear and feece increased by 15 40% vear-on-vear to USS1 320 897 milion
while non-knitted garment exports increased by 5.85% to US$911.514 million.
In terms of textiles. from July to September 2022. coton va and polyester exports fell by 18.14% to S236. 263 miion. while coton fabricexports increased by 4.21% to $580.524 million. During the period. paiamas exports fel 2.93 percent to S779.703 mllion, the data showed.
Imports of synthetic fibers fel 38.84% year-on-year to $149.456 million, while imports of synthetic and ravon vams fel 30.90% to $156.454million over the same period.
At the same time, Pakistan's textile machinery including circular kniting machines, feece and rib interlock imports from July to September 2022were US$146.077 million, a sharp drop of 36.73% year-on-year.
In the 2021-22 fiscal vear ended June 30. Pakistan's textile and apoarel exoorts rose 25 53 percent to $19 329 bilion. up from S15 399 bilion irthe previous fiscal. In the 2019-20 fiscal year, exports were worth $12.526 billion.
